1. Scope and accountability
Lumin Marketing Group ("Lumin," "we," "us," or "our"), located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is responsible for the personal information under its control in connection with Tally Pro. This policy applies to the Tally Pro app, the website at tallypro.luminmarketinggroup.com, and support communications. The app does not require an account.
Our privacy contact is info@luminmarketinggroup.com.
2. Information stored locally
Your counters, counter names, goals, activity history, and preferences are stored locally on your Apple devices. Tally Pro uses an Apple App Group to share the data needed by its widgets and uses Apple WatchConnectivity to synchronize counter information with your paired Apple Watch. Those Apple features can move data between your own associated devices and app components.
Lumin does not operate an account system or upload your counter content to Lumin servers. Tally Pro does not currently use a Lumin-operated analytics or crash-reporting service. Advertising-related processing by Google is described below.
3. Advertising and consent
In the current release, eligible free users may see a Google AdMob banner on the Focus screen. Tally Pro uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent where legally required and to provide advertising privacy choices when Google reports that those choices are available. Tally Pro configures Google Mobile Ads with publisher personalization and publisher first-party identifiers disabled.
Tally Pro does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission or access the advertising identifier (IDFA). For an upgrade from an older version, the app may read an existing tracking-authorization status only as a safety gate. If a previously granted authorization remains enabled, Tally Pro suppresses Google ad work for that app activation.
Depending on your consent, device settings, location, and Google's practices, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:
- device information and identifiers permitted by the operating system, consent choices, and applicable law;
- coarse location inferred from network information;
- advertising views, clicks, and other ad interactions;
- product interactions; and
- performance and diagnostic information.
This information may be used to deliver contextual or non-personalized ads, measure ads, limit repetition, detect fraud or abuse, maintain security, and improve advertising services. Google also acts under its own terms and privacy practices for processing it controls.
Tally Pro does not request ads after confirming an active Premium, verified legacy entitlement, or Remove Ads entitlement. When Google makes the control available, you can revisit applicable advertising consent choices in More → Settings → Ad Privacy Choices. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully completed and may not prevent all contextual advertising.
For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy, Google's information for sites and apps that use its services, and Google's available controls within the UMP privacy message.
4. Purchases and entitlements
Apple StoreKit processes the Premium monthly subscription and the separate one-time Remove Ads purchase through your Apple Account. Lumin does not receive your payment-card number. Tally Pro reads transaction and entitlement information made available by Apple as needed to display offers, complete or restore purchases, and provide Premium or ad-free access.
Premium unlocks unlimited counters, extended Insights, full-history export, and removes advertising. Remove Ads removes advertising only. Verified legacy entitlements are also honoured. Apple's processing is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
5. Website visits and support communications
This website is a static information site and contains no Lumin analytics or advertising scripts. It is hosted by Vercel. When your browser requests a page, Vercel may process technical request information such as your IP address, approximate location inferred from it, browser and device headers, requested URL, date and time, and traffic, system, security, or error-log information. This processing supports page delivery, reliability, performance, abuse prevention, and security. See the Vercel Privacy Notice.
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to provide. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, prevent misuse, and maintain reasonable support and business records. Please do not send payment-card information or sensitive counter details that are not needed to resolve your request.
6. Purposes and legal bases
We and our providers process information only for identified and reasonable purposes, including operating app features, synchronizing with your paired devices, providing and restoring purchases, delivering advertising where permitted, recording privacy choices, hosting and securing the website, responding to support, preventing fraud or abuse, and meeting legal obligations.
Depending on the law that applies, processing may be based on your consent, providing a service you requested, our reasonable legitimate business purposes, or compliance with law. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
7. Service providers, disclosure, and sale
Information may be processed by Apple for device features and purchases, by Google and its advertising partners for advertising and consent management, by Vercel for website hosting and security, and by service providers involved in email or support communications. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, investigate fraud or security concerns, or protect people and property.
We limit disclosures to what is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. We require each third party that receives personal information through Tally Pro or this website to provide the same or equivalent privacy protection described in this policy and required by applicable law. We support that requirement through provider selection, platform and data-protection terms, privacy settings, and technical controls. When a provider determines its own purposes as an independent organization, its published privacy notice also applies.
We do not sell the counter content you enter into Tally Pro. Google advertising processing may involve disclosures defined as a sale or sharing under some laws; applicable UMP privacy choices are provided where required.
8. Cross-border processing
Lumin operates from Alberta, Canada. Apple, Google, Vercel, and communications providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Information in another country may be subject to that country's laws and lawful access by its authorities. We use providers and contractual, platform, and technical safeguards appropriate to the services involved, but laws can differ from those in your home jurisdiction.
9. Retention and deletion
Local counter data remains on your devices until you use the applicable in-app control or remove the app and its associated local data. Deleting a counter removes it from the active library but does not necessarily delete its related history. Use Clear History to permanently delete history data. Resetting a counter changes its value to zero and records a reset event; it does not delete the counter or its history. Preferences remain until you change them or remove the applicable app data. Copies shared with a widget or synchronized to a paired Apple Watch may remain until those components update or are removed.
Apple, Google, and Vercel retain information according to their own policies and applicable settings. We retain support communications and any website logs available to us only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, operate and secure the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary with the nature of the information and applicable requirements; information under our control is deleted or anonymized when no longer reasonably needed, subject to lawful exceptions and backup cycles.
10. Security
We use administrative and technical measures appropriate to the limited information we handle. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your devices, Apple Account, and email account.
11. Your privacy choices and rights
Subject to applicable Alberta and Canadian privacy law, including Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act and, where applicable, federal privacy law, you may request access to personal information under our control, ask us to correct inaccurate information, withdraw consent, ask questions about our practices, or make a complaint. You may also request deletion, subject to information we must or are permitted to retain.
Because counter content is held locally rather than by Lumin, you usually control it directly on your devices and we generally cannot retrieve, correct, or delete it for you. Contact us about website-log information under our control. For advertising information controlled by Google or purchase information controlled by Apple, you may also need to use that provider's privacy tools or contact it directly. Vercel's notice explains rights relating to processing it controls independently.
To make a request, email info@luminmarketinggroup.com. Describe your request and whether it relates to the app, website, or support. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and will respond within the time required by applicable law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or, where federal law applies, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
12. Children
Tally Pro is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to create an account or submit personal information to Lumin. Advertising eligibility and treatment may vary by age, region, consent signals, and platform rules. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal information through support can contact us.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Tally Pro, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide additional notice where required.
